Editorial Review
The Aussie incarnation of Top Gear has wrapped up its first season, and now it's time for the Brits to hop back into the driver's seat. No disrespect meant to Australian hosts Warren Brown, Charlie Cox and Steve Pizzati, but it's great to have the original boys back.In this episode, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are up to their usual mischief, revealing that the BBC has asked them to give tips on fuel economy... so of course they kick things off with a noisy race in high-powered cars, who are even given just one gallon of fuel. Naturally, it's not long before most of these fuel-guzzlers are sidelined.
It's no wonder that a screaming audience crams into the Top Gear studio to watch the boys do their thing: they work brilliantly together, making this a fun series even for those with zero interest in all things automotive.
The best part is that SBS has promised to keep Top Gear on the airwaves all summer long, fast-tracking new episodes from the UK come January and rolling out a second Aussie series in 2009. With so much Top Gear on TV, all we have to worry about now is making sure that the show doesn't burn out...
Top Gear returns to SBS on Monday, November 24, at 7:30pm.

Not a Car Fan: "making this a fun series even for those with zero interest in all things automotive." Never have truer words been spoken. These blokes are Top Gear. (24 November 2008)
