Editorial Review

Def Leppard and Cheap Trick together on the same bill is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Two of the greatest rock acts of all time back to back. It's like Christmas, New Years Eve and your birthday all combined and then multiplied by 10. If you grew up in the '80s then you may as well stop reading now and just go out and purchase your tickets. You know just it's going to be a fantastically over the top show.

Okay, for everyone else's benefit, let's talk Def Leppard. The group formed in Sheffield (UK) in 1977 and were part of the burgeoning, British metal movement. More commercial in sound than their peers - and not afraid to throw some ballads into the mix - the group topped the charts in both the UK and US throughout much of the mid '80s with albums like Pyromania and Hysteria. Hysteria was especially infamous because the group's drummer lost one of his arms in a car accident before recording commenced. Recovering from the accident, he learnt to play the drums with only one arm and a custom-built kit.

Cheap Trick are from Illinois and also formed in the late '70s. Although their 20 million albums sold pales in comparison to Def Leppard's 65 million, they've enjoyed several crossover hits including Dream Police and The Flame. They also have lovely, golden locks. Two great reasons to get their early and catch them live on stage, in all their glory.
