Our architect-designed home required a good deal of consultation between Tim and ourselves to ensure that the building took the shape we were expecting. Time never tried to push the easy or soft option. He took endless time and put a great deal of effort into making sure we understood, and were happy with, what he was to build before going ahead. He is extremely competent and capable, and he is very particular about detail. The building moved along according to time frame and budget. We are extremely happy with the result.

Peter sat and talked to us to get the feel for what we were after, then he helped us to choose a designer (Dub). The first design was close to the mark. With a few minor changes we had the home of a lifetime. Peter gave us a quote, working to our budget, and from there it grew.

I would like to recommend the Smart Housing Company as a reliable and competent builder. I bought a block of land and then started the hunt for a builder to construct a house I designed myself. Choosing a builder was not quite as simple as it first appeared. It became apparent that the cheapest quote would have given me the cheapest house not only in terms of cost but in the standard of finish. Obviously I wanted a quality home but I also wanted value for money. A good rapport with the builder would be important since I wanted certain features in the house finished the way I wanted. The Smart Housing Company met my criteria. They were not the lowest quote but nor were they the most expensive.
